An under vehicle system scans the chassis of every vehicle that passes and shows the result to an officer in real time. It replaces the mirror on a pole, which only ever reveals what the officer happens to look at, and it produces a stored image that can be compared against a previous pass of the same vehicle.
The HZ-3400 runs area scan and linear scan simultaneously. Linear scan holds image quality even in poor conditions and with a contaminated lens; area scan produces a low-distortion image that is consistent from one pass to the next, which is what later comparison or automated analysis depends on.
The system is supplied as a portable kit or a fixed installation. Portable versions pack into a wheeled server cart with an embedded battery that runs about eight hours, so a checkpoint can be established or moved without civil works. Fixed versions mount flush in the roadway or on the surface in a stainless steel housing.
Choose portable for temporary or relocatable checkpoints, and flush- or surface-mount for permanent lanes.

The dual-mode system produces both from a single pass, so you do not have to choose. Linear scan survives harsh conditions and lens contamination; area scan gives a consistent, low-distortion image for comparison. The combination covers both requirements.
Up to 45 km/h in the forward direction for area scan, and up to 20 km/h for linear scan in either direction. For permanent checkpoints a controlled speed of 10–20 km/h produces the most usable images.
Yes. The licence plate recognition camera captures and recognises both front and rear plates and links them to the undercarriage image. Additional surrounding cameras can be added for a full perimeter record of each vehicle.
The flush-mount version is set into the roadway and does need excavation. The surface-mount version sits on top of the road in a stainless steel housing and requires no civil works, which is usually the practical choice for existing sites.
Portable configurations run from a battery embedded in the mobile server cart for about eight hours, so a temporary checkpoint needs no power connection. Fixed installations use mains power.
